Tea Juice Punch
The idea of mixing juice with herb tea to make a light and refreshing drink was introduced to me by my dear friend Joanie when our kids were young.
It’s brilliant!
Not only does it taste great but it offers a drink (for young and old) that has far less sugar and is free of flavorings. (Read the tea box and the juice label to avoid added flavorings.)
It’s a great non- alcoholic option and can pair well with summer foods.
Apple juice with chamomile tea or hibiscus tea is a good combo to try first.
If you like you can use white, green or black tea (not for the kiddos). Try matcha green tea with apple juice (and water) and garnish with fresh mint.
Nettle tea finds its way into many beverages at my house.
You can also make ice cubes out of brewed tea or juice and add to your concoction.
If you want to dress it up you can garnish with mint, lemon, lime…fresh edible flowers…
So many possibilities!
